George Currie (Bart’s father) hauled Gravel at Beachville Quarries with a 1967 F-Dump and pumped Human Waste (East & Westbound Service Centres) and Landfill Leachate with a 1962 B-Model Mack and a 1958 Tanker

 

 

1981
Barbara Johnston establishes J&B Axle.

1988
Bart Currie establishes “Currie Driver Service”

1991
Barbara Johnston establishes Standard Axle.

1992
Wayne House establishes “House Equipment” purchases a 1987 International and tri-axle dump trailer (Hauling Gravel @ Federal White Cement –outside Ingersoll.)

 

1993-1994
House Equipment adds on a 1988 Ford Aero Max dedicated to Ingersoll Fasteners and a
1988 Freightliner dedicated to Atlantic Packaging in Ingersoll, Ontario.

1990-1996
GH Currie & Sons Contracting fleets expands and consists of (2) Gravel Trucks (1)
Truck and Tanker dedicated to the 401 East / Westbound Service Centres.

1996
Wayne House (House Equipment) and Bart Currie (Currie Driver Service)
purchased GH Currie & Sons Contracting from the late George Currie’s wife Gail.

1996
Oxford Enterprises is established. (8 Tractors and 12 Trailers)
Owners Wayne House (President) and Bart Currie (Vice President)

September 1996
The company’s first load into the United States was a load of Building Materials on a step deck to the Bronx, New York with a drop in Harlem, New York. Oxford Enterprises obtained its United States Operating Authority, expanding into the international market by offering cross-border services throughout the United States.

December 1996
Barbara Johnston brought on board (Secretary-Treasurer)

1998
Fleet expanded to 15 Tractors and 8 Reefers and 15 Dry Vans

January 2001
Barbara Johnston becomes Tri-Owner of Oxford Enterprises.

March 2002
Addition of New Offices added on existing Maintenance Facility.

2003
Existing Fleet consists of 30 Tractors, 20 Dry Vans and 26 Temperature Control Reefers.

January 2005
BaraWay Holdings (a Division of Oxford Enterprises) purchases 7.5 acres of Industrial property in the Industrial Park in Ingersoll. (124 & 132 Ingersoll Street)

February 2005
Oxford Enterprises becomes approved in the Customs Self Assessment (CSA) Program.

February 2005
Oxford Enterprises becomes approved in the Free And Secure Trade (FAST) Program.

Spring 2005
Ground breaking celebration of the new planned site of Oxford Enterprises.


September 2007
Wayne House retires and sells his shares in the company to the remaining owners.
